I’m thrilled to announce that this week, Clarity acquired Amsterdam-based Yellow Communications.
Yellow is the leading independent technology communications agency in Benelux, working with clients including Citrix, ENGIE, Roche Diabetes Care and Boomi.
I can’t wait to start working with Yellow’s inspirational founder Karin van Geelen and her exceptionally talented team, to grow Clarity’s presence in what is an increasingly important market.
This is a huge milestone for Clarity and a strategically crucial step in our growth journey. The acquisition of Yellow is the first of many planned initiatives to grow Clarity across Europe. As such, I am also delighted to announce that Clarity’s UK Managing Director, Rachel Gilley, will become our first President, EMEA, to oversee the teams and growth in this region.
Amsterdam is the perfect place for us to land on the Continent: it’s home to an increasingly heavyweight and influential technology ecosystem, and has always had a global outlook
Our clients will doubtless benefit from having ‘feet on the ground’ in a market that’s already started to benefit from the UK’s decision to leave the EU, and a region that is home to European decision-making. For us, the deal opens the door to a wealth of new opportunities to grow existing client relationships, and expand into new markets across the Continent.
To make this deal happen in the midst of an economic downturn of historic proportions is testament to the health of both businesses: neither Clarity nor Yellow has had to make any cuts or painful decisions as a result of the pandemic. We both enter this partnership in a position of great strength and in the spirit of great optimism.
Underpinning this optimism is the knowledge that a little over seven years since launching Clarity, we now number more than 70 outstanding communications professionals, located in five of the world’s most vibrant cities, working with some of the world’s most exciting brands.
And we’re only just getting started.
